The Martinsburg Misfits 10U Travel Baseball Team is a nonprofit travel baseball organization dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the field. Our program is built on strong fundamentals, teamwork, and a love for the game, while creating a positive and competitive environment for players to grow.
We focus on player development, sportsmanship, and character—teaching athletes the value of hard work, accountability, and respect. Through structured practices, competitive tournaments, and experienced coaching, we prepare players for the next level of baseball while keeping the game fun and rewarding.
As a community-driven nonprofit, we rely on the support of families, sponsors, and volunteers to make opportunities accessible for our athletes. Together, we’re building confident players, strong teammates, and lifelong learners through the game of baseball.

Our Team
Our 10U division serves youth athletes typically ages 9–10 who are ready to continue developing their baseball skills in a supportive, structured, and fun environment. This level focuses on building confidence, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of the game while still keeping sportsmanship and enjoyment at the center of play.
Players in the 10U division work on:
Fundamental skill development (throwing, catching, hitting, base running)
Game awareness and basic strategy
Teamwork, communication, and leadership
Respect for teammates, coaches, and officials
This division is ideal for players who have prior experience in youth league play and are eager to grow their skills while learning the value of commitment, effort, and having fun on and off the field.
Player development is the core of our 10U program. Athletes receive instruction in proper throwing, hitting, fielding, and base running mechanics while learning multiple positions to become well-rounded players. Pitching and catching are carefully monitored to promote arm health and long-term development. We emphasize effort, coachability, sportsmanship, and resilience, helping players build confidence, baseball IQ, and a strong foundation for future levels of play.

Our 10U travel baseball program is built around player development first. We focus on teaching strong fundamentals, building confidence, and fostering a love for the game. Players are encouraged to learn multiple positions, develop baseball IQ, and grow through both successes and mistakes. Playing time is used as a development tool, with an emphasis on effort, coachability, teamwork, and sportsmanship. At this level, success is measured by growth, confidence, and enjoyment of the game—winning follows development.
